The acute poisoning symptoms of sleeping pills vary in severity depending on the dosage, duration, fasting status, and individual physical differences. Poisoned individuals should be promptly sent to the hospital for diagnosis and treatment.
Emergency treatment
1. It can stimulate the pharyngeal reflex and cause vomiting, or gastric lavage with 1:5000 potassium permanganate solution or water. It can also be used for magnesium sulfate induced diarrhea.
2. Patients should lie flat and try to move their heads as little as possible.
3. For patients with decreased blood pressure, intravenous infusion of norepinephrine or meta hydroxylamine can be used. For those with convulsions, pentobarbital can be used. In coma, stimulants such as methylphenidate hydrochloride (Ritalin) and indomethacin can be given.
4. Liver protective drugs can also be added to protect the liver and promote metabolism.
5. Severe poisoning can be treated with hemodialysis therapy.
