Symptoms of Cobra Snake Bite Poisoning:
- Cold limbs
- Profuse sweating
- Pale complexion
- Generalized body pain
- Weakness and numbness in limbs
- Paralysis
- Drooping eyelids
- Difficulty swallowing and speaking
- Vomiting
- Abdominal pain
- Diarrhea
- Abdominal distension
- Palpitations
- Difficulty breathing
- Pulmonary hemorrhage
- Increased blood pressure
- Elevated body temperature
- Increased blood sugar levels
- Severe cases may lead to coma, shock, myocardial damage, myocarditis, arrhythmia, red blood cell destruction, blood circulation disorders, persistent hypotension, proteinuria, renal failure, and ultimately death due to respiratory center paralysis and heart failure.
Rescue Methods:
- Early induction of vomiting. Wash the stomach with 1:5000 potassium permanganate solution, administer 30g of sodium sulfate for catharsis, followed by 20-30g of activated charcoal.
- Intravenous infusion of 5% glucose saline solution or 10% glucose solution.
- Symptomatic treatment. Use pressor agents when blood pressure drops, administer respiratory stimulants when breathing difficulties occur, and use dobutamine 0.4mg in 20-40ml of 10% glucose solution for intravenous slow injection in cases of heart failure. Repeat the dose at half the amount if necessary after 4-8 hours.
- Licorice 60g, mung beans 30g, decoct and take orally.
- Poria cocos 30g, Ban Bian Lian 9g, wild chrysanthemum 15g, Hedyotis diffusa 30g, white Atractylodes 15g, licorice 15g, decoct twice and take together every 3-4 hours. Take once after two doses, and continue for 3-4 doses.
- Seven-leaf one-skill flower 15g, Ban Bian Lian 12g, Tian Ji Huang 9g, Liang Mian Zhen 10g, decoct and take orally.
- Raw rhubarb 12g (taken later), Xuanming powder 12g (dissolved and taken), Ban Bian Lian 30g, Plantago asiatica 10g (wrapped), Angelica dahurica 9g, Prunella vulgaris 9g, wild chrysanthemum 9g, dandelion 9g, Silybum marianum and white Atractylodes each 15g, three scolopendra and three centipedes, decoct and take orally. Generally, take one dose of medicine, reduce the raw rhubarb and Xuanming powder after defecation, and continue for 3-4 doses.
