Local symptoms
After being bitten, there is a burning pain that gradually intensifies and lasts. Generally, there are two large dental scars in the shape of (”), with a spacing of 1.0-1.5 centimeters between the dental scars. The wound may have slight bleeding and bruising. The injured limb swells significantly and rapidly spreads outward, with blisters and blood near the injured area. Local tissue necrosis and ulceration can reach deep into the bone.
Systemic symptoms
Discomfort throughout the body, chills and fever, musculoskeletal pain, skin allergies, early hematuria, scattered subcutaneous bleeding points throughout the body, which can merge into patchy ecchymosis. Gingival bleeding, nosebleeds, subconjunctival bleeding, hemoptysis, vomiting, and rectal bleeding, excessive vaginal bleeding in menstrual women. In severe cases, there may be extensive interstitial bleeding in the lungs, accompanied by rales, hemolytic jaundice, and changes in heart rate, conduction block, and myocarditis caused by cardiac bleeding. Due to bleeding, excessive hemolysis, pale complexion, cold hands and feet, indifferent or restless expression, thin pulse, decreased blood pressure, and shock.
In the early stages, proteinuria, tubular urine, and even hematuria may occur, resulting in acute renal failure due to insufficient urine and urinary obstruction. Patients often die due to shock, acute renal failure, and extensive bleeding. After rescue, the recovery was slow.
