Cobra bite
[Local symptoms]
After biting, the pain is immediately felt, gradually worsening and spreading towards the center. There are two common dental scars with a distance between teeth of 1.1-1.9 centimeters. The wound does not bleed much and quickly closes, turning black. The skin around the wound quickly turns red and can spread to the entire limb, even the trunk. Locally, there are often blisters, blood vessels, and corresponding lymphangitis, as well as lymphadenitis. Local tissues infiltrated by toxins can cause ischemia and hypoxia, degeneration and necrosis, forming ulcers that are difficult to heal over time.

Severe cases may experience general discomfort, drowsiness, chills, and fever of 39-40 ℃ within 2-6 hours after injury. Chest tightness, palpitations, nausea, vomiting, muscle weakness, unsteady gait, and lazy speech. As the condition worsens, drooping eyelids, unclear speech, difficulty swallowing, and shallow breathing may occur. Blood pressure first rises and then falls, eventually leading to shock. Death may occur due to respiratory paralysis, acute renal failure, and circulatory failure.
