The sexual harmony between spouses is related to the stability of the family. Premature ejaculation is one of the common male sexual dysfunction in clinical practice, so it must be treated, and I believe it can be cured. Premature ejaculation directly endangers the harmony of sexual life between couples, thereby affecting their relationship and family harmony. In sexual life, wives often do not feel sexual pleasure and cannot obtain sexual satisfaction for a long time, which will lead to a loss of interest in sex and ultimately lead to indifference towards sex. Over time, this will inevitably become a hidden danger of marital discord or family breakdown. Premature ejaculation, which is clear at first glance at the name of the disease, refers to premature ejaculation during sexual activity. There is currently no definite definition of premature ejaculation in modern medicine. For example, if someone ejaculates within 30 seconds after inserting their penis into the vagina, it is called premature ejaculation; Some people consider premature ejaculation when the penis is inserted into the vagina and twitched less than 15 times; Some people believe that as long as the woman cannot reach orgasm, it is considered premature ejaculation; Some people believe that ejaculation before the penis comes into contact with the female partner is the true premature ejaculation… There are different opinions and no consensus. So, what kind of definition should premature ejaculation be given? The clinical manifestations of premature ejaculation are mainly ejaculation during sexual activity, when the penis has not yet made contact with the female partner, has just made contact, has not been in contact for a long time, or has not made several sexual movements. It is indeed difficult to establish a unified time standard for this. Due to the fact that the speed of ejaculation involves multiple factors such as age, physical condition, disease, frequency of life, sexual experience, sexual interest, sexual environment, as well as the female partner’s sexual sensitivity and requirements, the problem becomes too complex. However, in order to give people a rough concept of time, modern medicine still provides a reference standard: inserting the penis into the female vagina, then starting sexual intercourse until ejaculation, the approximate time to complete such a physiological process, which is the ejaculation latency period, usually about 2-6 minutes, slightly longer or shorter. In other words, in healthy adults, ejaculation at around 2-6 minutes of sexual intercourse is within the normal range, and as long as it does not deviate too much from this time period, it cannot be considered pathological. So, it can be roughly said that those who take less than 2 minutes can be considered premature ejaculation, while those who take more than 2 minutes are generally not considered premature ejaculation. With such a rough standard, doctors have a basis for whether premature ejaculation requires treatment
