After rescuing the drowning person from the water, the mud and debris in the mouth and nose should be immediately removed, and emergency treatment should be carried out quickly by spitting water. At the same time, call 120 emergency hotline for other people. The rescuer kneels on the ground with their right knee bent and their left knee bent. Place the drowning victim’s abdomen horizontally on the rescuer’s left knee, causing their head to sag. The rescuer presses on the drowning victim’s back with their right hand, allowing them to fully vomit out of their mouth, respiratory tract, and stomach
Water inside.
If the drowning person stops breathing, quickly clear the respiratory tract, lie on their back, tilt their head back, and immediately perform mouth to mouth artificial respiration. The specific method is for the rescuer to pinch the drowning person’s mouth and blow air, with a large amount of air blowing 15-20 times per minute.
If the drowning person’s heart stops beating, immediately make them lie on their back and tap the precordial area 1-2 times with their fists, using appropriate force. Then, overlap your hands and place them at the junction of the lower one-third of the drowning person’s sternum, and press with regular and uninterrupted force. When pressing, keep your arms straight, with a frequency of 80-100 beats per minute and a depth of 3-4 centimeters (2-3 centimeters for children). Stop when the patient’s carotid artery pulsation can be felt. If there is only one rescuer performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation, blowing air into the lungs once every 7-8 compressions of the heart will have a better effect. After on-site emergency treatment, the drowning person was quickly taken to a nearby hospital for further rescue and treatment.
