Candles:
A small candle is definitely useful in the wild. The modern lighting devices you bring, such as flashlights and headlights, become decorations as the battery runs out. At this point, the candle displays its true heroism. Candles can not only provide lighting, but also provide warmth (but don’t mistake your fingers for baked potatoes) and ignite a fire. If you cut off the bottom of a mineral water bottle to make a lampshade, you have a windproof lamp for outdoor use, which has enough power and greatly improves work efficiency.
Needle and thread bag:
Whether during the Red Army’s Long March or in modern armies, needle and thread bags have always been a must-have in the wilderness. Of course, the function of modern needle and thread bags is no longer just simple sewing and patching. Needles can not only pick out thorns, but also bend into fish hooks in some cases, improve food, and even save lives (of course, your needle and thread bag must be equipped with at least two fishing lines).
Match:
In the wilderness, fire is almost everything. It is important to bring windproof and waterproof matches, but if you cannot buy such matches, you can DIY some by yourself. The method is very simple. First, melt the candle and apply it evenly on a regular match. When using it, remove the wax from the head of the match. In order to better utilize the powerful windproof and waterproof function of our DIY matches, they can be placed in empty film boxes. Phosphorus skin (which is used for wiping matches) must never be forgotten, otherwise our DIY efforts will be in vain.
Survival whistle:
Actually, it’s just a regular whistle, but in the wild, the function of a whistle is not just to blow a black whistle on the field. Now it can save your life. When you are in danger, you can use a whistle to lure for rescue, or scare away some small wild animals (although if it is a tiger, bear, or other fierce animals, not making a sound is the best choice).
Box:
It is best to choose an aluminum or stainless steel lunch box (preferably with a handle). Because the lunch box itself can be used for heating, lifting water, or melting snow, all of which can work. Although plastic boxes are lightweight, they cannot be heated, which limits their use. At the same time, the metal cover of the lunch box can be used as a reflector, which can send out a distress signal in critical moments.
